Election of Zone 1 Vice Chairman

The election of the Zone 1 Vice Chairman, scheduled to occur at the committee's July 27th meeting, has been postponed until our next quarterly meeting on November 9, 2019.  The election was postponed in order to give our committee members more time to get to know the three candidates that filed just prior to the meeting.  In addition, since no official deadline had been previously set, a motion was made and passed to set the official filing deadline to midnight on Saturday, August 3rdThis gives qualified* candidates more chance to apply.  New candidates must file by sending an email to Chairman Melvin Adams (va5chair@gmail.com) by this deadline, and cc'ing the committee's Recording Secretary (aaron.moyer@comcast.net).  You will receive email confirmation of receipt.

* Qualification: Any candidate must be a member in good standing of his/her local GOP Committee within Zone 1.  Zone 1 in the 5thCDRC consists of the following local GOP units:

  • Fauquier County (partial)
  • Rappahannock County
  • Madison County
  • Greene County
  • Albemarle County
  • Charlottesville City
  • Fluvanna County
